Descripción: This is a documentary on the first black Congressman in the United States. He started out life as a slave and after escaping to Bermuda during the war he returned to South Carolina and ran for an won a seat in the house. He served 4 terms under constant death threats from the KKK and the Redshirts. We are working with his family and have his hand written journals which have never been translated into a text document... until now. In preproduction now, hope to start production in the Fall.
