About me

I am Gabe Walker... and work as a photographer... since 2007

I am passionate about photography and creating visual art. A perfectionist by nature, I always seek to create the best work.


Awards & Achievements: - National Geographic summer intern 2005 - Washington, DC - I was selected out of thousands of applicants from around the world, chosen for a two month internship with the Digital Imaging department in Washington, DC
- Spring BFA show 2007 – Using my friends as models I was able to create mythical photographic montages which were back lit using hand constructed recycled material, 2'X3' wooden boxes of my own design. These images were then displayed in multiple galleries around town for one month. International artist and professor Geoffrey Baker described it as - “Absolute perfection . . . pure poetry!”
- Fall 2006 Fujifilm/SPS Harmony Competition winner; published in May issue of Professional Photographer magazine.
- Student volunteer at Imaging USA San Antonio, TX - Jan 2007 & Tampa, FL – Jan 2008
- Photographed and documented a 600 mile, 1 month cycling leadership adventure course around New Zealand's south island.
